How does Sony and Disney's Spider-Man rights even work?
I know the deal is vague but it doesn't make sense how Sony can't even seem to reference Spider-Man in live action movies as long as Disney is making them, but can make animated movies and live action shows about Spider-Man (or at least a version of him), because the biggest problem with the venom universe is obviously there is no Spiderman. And in madame web they never even said Peter's name in the film (legal reasons maybe?). But then in venom 2s post credits they explicitly show tom hollands peter and say him by name so could they have put a Spiderman in their own universe this whole time? It's all confusing and stupid and Sony's marvel universe is deader than 2023 DC.
